Justice Dialogues:
Integrating Justice in Bioethics

Centering justice in bioethics is essential for fostering ethical advancements in emerging biotechnologies. The Justice Dialogues initiative addresses the need for sustained, substantive engagement with justice-focused frameworks and their application to real-world ethical challenges in fields such as genomics, artificial intelligence, and precision medicine. We hope to build capacity in bioethics by engaging scholars who are new to bioethics or who have not previously used justice frameworks. Through this initiative, we aim to expand academic networks in bioethics and support scholars in addressing pressing ethical questions of justice. The Justice Dialogues program includes two key components:

1. The “Justice Dialogues” Series:

A monthly virtual series featuring leading scholars whose work focuses on justice theories and frameworks. These dialogues will convene experts across disciplines to explore the intersection of justice and biotechnology development and application, fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue.

2.  Educational Resources:

A publicly accessible website hosting a comprehensive collection of resources, including recorded presentations, group discussion guides, curated literature, and other materials. These resources are designed to equip researchers and educators with the tools to integrate justice-centered approaches into their work.

By connecting justice frameworks with practical applications, the Justice Dialogues initiative seeks to catalyze more inclusive and impactful approaches, shaping the future of bioethics.
